Anonymous
Anyone has the right to read the content on the Usenet server, in some newsgroups you may even be able to post without having an account.

Regular
This is the access level you have with an account, you will be able to read all newsgroups as well as post in nearly all of them.

Premium
A remnant used while testing newsgroup access levels, will be able to post in all newsgroups where where the access level is premium or under (anon, regular).

Other User Groups
Since we are able to define user groups, we can also create and assign additional user groups to other newsgroups, for instance if there was a group that want their own newsgroup, but only their groups permission to post.
